ABC Medical is BSAS accredited agency based in Reading, Massachusetts which offers a variety of mental health and substance use services including medication management, psychotherapy, TMS, and ABA therapy. ABC Medical was founded with the intention of creating a better choice for outpatient behavioral healthcare. We felt that people needed a better option for treatment, and with that intention, designed our program to address the full scope of outpatient behavioral health. ABC Medical is hiring immediately Licensed Drug and Alcohol Recovery Specialists. Both part-time and full-time positions available, as well as remote work. We are looking for a candidate who will exemplify our core values of interdisciplinary collaboration, person-centered care and integrity.

Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered individual counseling
- Complete assessments, treatment plans, and other required documentation in a timely fashion, as instructed by your supervisor.
- Provide psychoeducation relating to general behavioral health issues, recovery or chemical dependence.
- Participate in all staff meetings and staff supervision.
- Attend agency mandated training and maintain required certifications.
- Maintain knowledge of community-based resources and complete referrals as needed.
- Perform duties to reflect agency policies and procedures.
- Perform other related work duties as needed or as assigned by supervisor or designee.
- Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Standard/universal precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Maintain certification as a social worker, psychologist or alcohol & drug counselor.
- Ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, possess time management skills, prioritize tasks, take initiative and work well in an interdisciplinary setting.
- Good oral, written, computer, and organizational skills a must.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to the changing needs of the program participants.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, caring, and compassion.
Therapist Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED). College degree in human services or relevant field is preferred.
- Current licensure by the state of Massachusetts as a social worker, psychologist, alcohol and drug counselor (LADC-I, II or III) or similar license eligible
- Bilingual a plus.
