ABC Medical is BSAS accredited agency based in Reading, Massachusetts which offers a variety of mental health and substance use services including medication management, psychotherapy, TMS, and genetic testing. ABC Medical was founded with the intention of creating a better choice for outpatient behavioral healthcare.  We felt that people needed a better option for treatment, and with that intention, designed our program to address the full scope of outpatient behavioral health. ABC Medical is hiring TMS technologists. Both part-time and full-time positions available. We are looking for a candidate who will exemplify our core values of interdisciplinary collaboration, person-centered care and integrity.

Job Description

  • TMS, or transcranial magnetic stimulation, is a minimally invasive medical procedure aimed at treating behavioral health, or psychiatric, disorders.  Our facility offers training to qualified candidates to render this service in an office based, or clinic, setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer TMS treatments according to a specified treatment protocol done by the facility.
  • Complete client chart entries in our secure medical record system by end of work day.
  • Provide excellent patient care and treat facility clients with compassion while developing trust and rapport.
  • Administer psychiatric rating scales for later entry into secure record system.
  • Schedule and maintain patient appointments relative to all services offered that encompass patient treatment.
  • Have flexibility with time schedules to fit patients’ needs and requirements.
  • Answer patient phone calls and adjust the schedule to patient needs as necessary.
  • Investigate and communicate insurance coverage and verification issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system set-up throughout treatment.
  • Possess basic clinical assessment skills to identify real or potential adverse events during treatment where treatment should be interrupted or terminated.
  • Communicate concerns to the TMS coordinator, clinical director, or physician when necessary.
  • Individual will be trained and certified in TMS.
  • Follows company policies and procedures as well as adhering to state and/or federal regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.


  • High School Diploma or GED (minimal requirements).
  • Engineering student preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree (Preferred/engineering).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Understand and comply with HIPAA.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with a team.
