Job Opportunity: TMS Technologist

Employment Type:

  • Part-Time  4 hours/day and Full-Time Positions 8 hours/day Available

Job Description:

TMS, or transcranial magnetic stimulation, is a minimally invasive medical procedure aimed at treating behavioral health, or psychiatric, disorders. Our facility offers training to qualified candidates to render this service in an office-based or clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer TMS treatments according to the facility’s specified treatment protocol.
  • Complete client chart entries in our secure medical record system by the end of the workday.
  • Provide excellent patient care, building trust and rapport with clients.
  • Administer psychiatric rating scales for later entry into the secure record system.
  • Schedule and maintain patient appointments for all services offered.
  • Adjust schedules and handle patient phone calls as needed.
  • Investigate and communicate insurance coverage and verification issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup.
  • Identify and respond to real or potential adverse events during treatment.
  • Communicate concerns to the TMS coordinator, clinical director, or physician as necessary.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
  • Engineering student preferred.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred, especially in engineering).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Understanding of and compliance with HIPAA.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
